Okay, i brought a fiesta off ebay, going back 4 weeks now.

 

Sent the bloke a deposit, but decided to pay the full amount into his bank account, £320.

 

Anyway, he said he would drop it off on the friday and he never did, so after 6 hours of trying, i finally got hold of him. he said he was really busy in the factory and he will drop it down sunday morning. he never did, and told me he was really busy.

 

Me being fedup, decided id go and collect the dam thing, but then he told me he had sold it to someone else,apoligsed and said he would be transferring the money into my account back.

 

A week went by, and no money back, halfway through the next week i phoned him, he said he had paid it into bank acount xx xx xx xx and sort code 30 97 97 , DOH my sort code is 30 97 17,

 

 

so he is still waiting for his money to be put back into his account from lloyds as he paid it into a non existent sort code, thats should have took 5 - 7 working days. so this friday just gone.

 

at the beggining of the week i brought a escort, and this chap was going to deliver it to me. the other bloke i brought the fiesta off, said to be fair i will pay the deposit whilst i wait for the funds to come back into my account.

 

a weeks gone buy, the bloke with the escort still hasnt got his cheque, i haent got my other half of the money.

 

so i emailed him this morning, told the bloke with the escort to rip up the cheque if he gets it, cause it will probably bounce, i emailed the chap with the fiesta and said, im sick of waiting now, you made the mistake of paying it into the wrong account. i have reicepts i paid the money in to prove, i have you r number, your ip address which the police could use to get your isp provider and ask them for his adress at home etc

 

im just thourougly fucked off at the moment.

 

i just had to scrape together £3 for some fuel to put in my bike so i could get out. and yet this/

 

i need to know what i can do i went to the police and they said id have to take it through civil courts. bloody great.

thats not good! One major reason why ebay is a tad dodgy! Stick to the old handin cash over instead of all this computer bizness!

If i were buying a car id want to see the car 1st anyhow, just cos he says its good in the advert it might be rotton in which cash its advertised falshly and u dont buy it lol.

 

Think the mistakes partly your fault tho!!!!! Give him 3 days to sort it else your gonig to the police.........

update, just spoke to him, he got all short and snappy with me.

 

he said he was going to reply to the email, but then he thought, Fcuk it.

 

he said hes stressed out at the minute and im not helping.

 

he said it will be sorted by the end of the week, and on a final note the police wont do sod all, it would just end up in a small claims court.

you could go on evo now and say, cossie brake set up or something someone would really want, £200, get the money, then youc ould rip em off , just give them your sort code and account number and they wont have your home adress, they will end up takin it to the civil court, and it will take about 6 months, by that length of time thye probly would have given up waiting

omg you didn't even get his address before you paid him ?!?!?!?!? what's wrong with you... sorry, but the fact that you were so bloody careless partly makes me think you deserve this just to teach you a lesson on how NOT to use ebay, especially with large amounts of money FFS THINK!!!!!!

okay chill, i have his adress on one of the bank reicepts, i dont want to turn this into a slanging match about my stupidity and yes i should have learned.

 

whats annoying me is the way the law works, i could sell something now and get away with it. its bloody lame.

if i buy a car off ebay i wud do wot my m8 did, u email the guy wen u win the auction....ask him to come look at it and ull give him the cash there and then.....if he dont like it tell him to fo.

 

otherwise if u just pay cash into sum1s account u can get scammed, which by sounds of it u did

well we will see by the end of the week.

 

with ebay tho, if u win a car you have to buy it dont you lol

not if its been falsely advertised and only way to check is go and look at it

 

otherwise u cud buy an advertised perfectly good car....but wen u get it u find its missing the wheels and stuff

if you won it through ebay, they should supply his address when you win!! pay him a visit with a couple of mates and kindly ask for your money back!! i would!!
