hiya peeps, got a problem with my si. it's a 1998 ® and the immobilizer cuts in while driving. it is definately the immobilizer, hoping you guys know of a way to fix it or disable it. dont fancy fitting new ecu/locks/ignition barrel ect :nutter: :censored:

have been told it could be the ignition relay or the fusebox. will have to investigate tomorrow. god knows how i will tell though, might have to get an auto electrician to have a look. :curse:

you dont wanna be doing that, those bar stewards cost £40 odd an hour for farting about playing pokey with a test light :curse:

 

check for loose connections and bad earths id suggest,somethings triggering it.

 

does the immobiliser come on when your driving? so the car cuts out? :rolleyes: :O :roll:

IS the red light constant on the clock? I had it on mine and it was a loose connection somewhere nder the stering column, pushed and pulled a few connectors and it worked, only did it when i tried to start it.

 

Think yors is more terminal cos its donig it while driving, Soulds like a typical fse box fault to me!!!!

well, i seem to have fixed it :D was something to with my amp i think. its fine with it disconnected, but no wires were loose.

weird, but nevermind :rolleyes: thanks for the help though :)
