Just wanted to show you me air filter mod.

 

Its just a 57i kit with a few mods.

All for lots of cold air!!! wooooo

Nice, you've put a bit of work into that.

 

I have a basic shield on mine and it makes a big diff. to intake temp. so yours must be sucking lots of the cold air. Knocked mine up in about 10mins may have a go at making something like yours this weekend.

You can use the 2 bolts that hold the bottom of the old air box to hold the new plate( i used ally with some heat insulation on the motor side)

 

A bit of drain pipe , lol, the right size.

 

mount the air flow meter to the motor side of the plate

 

o and you will need some kind of oil catch tank on the oil breather pipe.

 

I still need to make a proper one( useing a bottle with 2 holes in at the mo lol)

 

And a cold air pipe.

 

Thats it!

looked good till the bottom pics, stics out like a shore thumb.

 

how about moving that to the bottom gril, mines in the bottom grill and not noticable at all now, just an idea
