August 3, 200420 yr He was fined £100 for driving without insurance Why do I pay £800 a year if the fines only £100? May aswell just pay fines 'IF' I were to be caught...
August 3, 200420 yr Frigging hell that's nuts. If I was caught Im sure because Im an upholding 'normal' citizen who pays my taxes I'd be made an example of! Going to have to go calm down now, angry!
August 3, 200420 yr well i wud h8 to be a judge in a case about road tax etc from now on, its been let off once now its gonna happen more often. tis like the law saying bikers cant wear dark visors cuz of the same reason we cant have tinted windows "it restrics vision" however in the mail the other week there was prince william on his new bike wearing a dark visor, so if its good enuf for his "heiness" then its good enuf for every1 else.....police cant deny it and wud be lucky to do u for wearing dark visors now. its all a fkin joke tbh....wot a country....
August 3, 200420 yr Mark Jones, faced fines totalling £417 after admitting a string of driving offences and possessing cannabis. it's not me by the way before someone points it out.
August 3, 200420 yr Author He was fined £100 for driving without insurance Why do I pay £800 a year if the fines only £100? May aswell just pay fines 'IF' I were to be caught... Exactly. Many younger drivers have to pay out more than their car is worth in insurance, because the government says we all need third party cover, which is fair enough. However, since brokers are not regulated on pricing despite having you against a wall, it's just a licence to print money. Insurance needs to be restricted to perhaps a quarter of what it is now - and the nobjockeys who don't bother with it need to be fined £000's per time (or jailed when they turn out to have no money/deported if illegals, etc) to make up the difference, rather than just sitting in the corner for half an hour With quotes of '40% of cars driving around london are uninsured', if everyone started paying for insurance at a more reasonable rate, the brokers would still be rolling in money.
August 3, 200420 yr now now simion that wud just be common sense if they lowered it to a level where every1 wud be able to pay they wudnt make such a big profit from those of us who do pay. common sense doesnt come into these peoples minds.
August 3, 200420 yr Author I know it would never happen mate - I'm just of the opinion that some insurance dodgers can do the maths, for example: insurance for one year = £1000getting caught without (perhaps once in ten years) = £100 I'm on a stupidly low income (because of area blah blah ) but still cover my car & the consequences of my actions on the road, as I am obliged to do - but surely some those who don't bother might consider doing so if the penalty for not was extortionate, whilst the price for doing the right thing was low.
