Just moved to Florida from the UK, well Kent, lived near Ex_Finesse.

 

So here's the Anmerican version of the escort, I'ts mine & cost around 2k (in uk pounds).

 

Its totally standard as far as i know, appart from 5cd changer in the boot and soon a 10" sub in a ported mdf box. Oh yeah and its a bloody automatic but it still does 6,500 rpm when you push it

 

Engine spec:

Good question about the speed, although out here speeding laws are much stricter and you are more likely to get caught . Top i have done so far is 85mph in a 65mph zone, 65 is about the normal speed for highways. Anyways i looked around a bit for some info on it:

 

Top Speed = 105 MPH    Which is where the electronic governor kicks in.

 

Top Speed with the electronic governor disabled = It's been paced at over 125 MPH    Though it creeps up pretty slowly after 110 MPH

oh i forgot, they also do a ford probe out here to, although i have only seen one or two, the probe is the same as the UK shape.
