Al Posted August 26, 2002 Share Posted August 26, 2002 Day started pretty poor i´m afraid .........We were mean´t to be in at 11.45am.Didn´t get allowed in until 12.30!That´s with the passes!..............lots of security & staff,but no one seemed to know what they were doing Weren´t even allowed to park together to set up a stand ..................very, very disappointing.On the ´upside´,it turned out to be a huge event,with literally thousands of modded cars attending.......lots of pretty girls wandering about(semi-clad! )Weather was very warm and sunny too.Not too sure how i managed to spend 10 hours there ,as there was not many trade stands at all.Food stalls prices were appalling,ie, £3.50 for a hot dog!! is not realistic,nor £1 for a cup of tea!.............no, you don´t have to buy i know,but after a few hours resisting the prices most people surcome,like me .Plenty,plenty superb cars made the day for me,including a NOVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which was up for sale @ £3,700 ono, which sported 19 inch rims! ...it had modded arches which appeared standard(just wider) which the ower had fabricated himself from sheet steel ! Engine was the 2ltr 16v lump too.One of my favorite was a ´Fast ´n´ furious´ copy Toyota Supra twin turbo...awesome beast!!!! i want one.Lots of magazine feature shoots using the Max Power babes including one young ´lady´ squirming on the roof of an orion topless, enjoying every second of the attention she was drawing as she was photographed (......of course, being a gentleman, i looked away!!)Lastly, just like to say hi to Scuzzie 2K, who i meet, nice guy,and his car looks just as good in the flesh as it did in his pics on the board!! ,also hi to the rest of the board members which also went, Si, Furry & Mrs,Makey GTi (Mark) and anyone else i meet.All in all a great day out................Al.
