Ex-Finesse
Mine takes a while to get from 6k to 6.3k, so I rarely take it that high (quicker in the gear up!).... Must take ages to get up to 7k! Got some cams in there?

Ex-Finesse
actually sayin 'over' it gets to 7 but dont bounce, just sits there for a bit....<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Strange... but the escort diesel (non-turbo) does the same. Also old civic i've driven just sits at max rpm. 7k would scare me on a standard bottom end, but I've heard Si (RS2000) talk of driving a chipped RS2000 up to 8k rpm!
