Bobuk69
Hi Guys. I recently fitted a piper back box to my escort and that's fine. However it turns out that the middle box has a hole in it and is blowing slightly. I thought i Could just pick up the piper middle as well but it turns out the back box I bought was designed for a ford middle so the bores won't fit if I get the piper middle. I don't want to just put a new ford middle on... So what are my options?? Cheers guys
Ex-Finesse
Get to powerflow and they'll make up a centre section for you car. It'll be made of stainless and outlast the car. Are you majorly concerned about getting a decent bore exhaust pipe? There's obviously no point in having a large bore centre section, then it getting smaller before the back box. You looking for an increase in noise? Well standard bore but silencer-less centre section will give you that. Piper rear boxes are meant to be fairly loud I think. If you don't want noise, keep a silencer in there. Just my thoughts this evening
Bobuk69
yeah i was thinking about powerflow...and yeah i thought of the fact that if its smallish bore no point having large centre! how much louder do you reckon it would get without a centre? and will powerflow just do a straight thru pipe? Ex-Finesse
Yeh powerflow will do a straight through section for you. Did for me In all honesty, I couldn't tell you how much louder it would get. I don't know.

Ex-Finesse
I had a back box fitted (required some modding to fit) and the centre section made up. That was £180. Just a centre section I reckon it'll be no more than £120.
