Mike C Posted November 19, 2004 Share Posted November 19, 2004 Yep, that's right LOL! i froze me t1ts off, but the sun was soooo strong, piercing and lush! starting raining/snowing yesterday before i could finish chamoising it, then had 2 get to work, so had 2 get up early and wet it and then dry it again, and also a few touches to the interior. The writer turned up at about 9:45, i was just finishing drying the beast off, and we started the interview whilst waiting for the photographer, and polished the main bit of that of within 45 mins. Photographer came, then they both went back off to try and find a suitable location. I suggested a few and they said they seen a few, but needed to be open and there's trees everywhere round here. anyway, they're gone an age, i managed to fit it 2 trips to the toilet, but i won;t go into detail as i've already been told off for that once today! So, when they finally came back, they said they'd found somewhere just 2 minutes down the road, and had got permission to use it. SORTED! so off we toddle, and go over some kinda really pretty wasteland all cleared out. There were trees on both sides, but this was a huuuuuuuuuge clearing. They said it was too "beautiful" round here compared to the kinda sh1tholes they usually like 2 use as backdrops LOL! but anyway, this feature is gonna be a cut out anyway, which is a shame considered how gorgeous the location turned out to be, would love to have got some pics on his beast of a camera to stick over the mantlepiece LOL! anyway, have to park the car in different positions etc to get the light right for different shots, took a crazy amount of pics lol, and pics of me sitting on sum concrete blocks. anyway, yesterday they took pics of a black car in the rain (photographer's nightmare!)and today they get a pics of a radient red car in the winter sunlight (photographer's dream LOL! ) talked for half hour plus about EVO. there ain't no "plug" section for the modding guide bit, they just choose clubs and contacts etc relating to the Escort GTi, but i tried as best I could for EVO to get a mention in my interview bit, said how i was going to Northampton on sunday for a social, and Dartford the following weekend, and how i ended up with the car, enjoy the socials etc, what help people have been. anyway, will be in feb/march issue hopefully, should be in the feb one, out beginning of Jan! I dont think mike is gonna sit there and say that he did this and that to the car when he knows that he blatently didnt and so do the other magazines if they look at other car mags. I would be very very suprised if petes and kevs names were not put forward for the people that did the mods to the car. Dont be an arse lad.
