Disconnecting Standard Immobiliser

Recommended Posts

Ive fitted a Flacon alarm to my escort which has a remote start function, ive wired it all up correctly and the remote start will not work. Im 99% sure its because of the standard immobiliser as this is the second car ive had the alarm on and my other one worked fine, as it had no standard immobiliser. where is the immobiliser as i am wanting to discconect it, and i dnt have a haynes manual?

Thanks

I think Mk6 si ross could be right If your car has PATS thats the passive anti theft system Its doubtful that the car would start without the key being in the ignition barrel - Its the whole point really so no one can hot wire your car, If however the alarm makers have thought of some clever way around this or your car doesnt have PATS and you still want to deactivate the factory immobiliser then email me, I'm not trying to be funny but If I posted the info here then anyone could read it not just escort fans!

its easy.... take the red chip out of the corner of your key, selotape it to the ignition barrel. Bobs you uncle. However your alarm will prob not be cat 1 certified then :(

PMSL it sounds so simple it could work ahha
