Orion Si
they are absorb sum of the impacts your car takes on a regular basis. if you lower your car 60mm + you are basiclly riding on these, so yes i would recommend to change them to powerflex ones, or similar. it will make your ride a little smoother, but not a great deal that its noticable. hope that helps m8
Chrissyboy
I've been told standard Ford items last longer than 'third party' bushes. and this was by someone who sells third party bushes!

SPITROAST
Well I'm dropping it 35mm, worth it then
Orion Si
i would, cos if you decide later on that you want to change then or theyve craked you will have to pay for them to take the suspension apart again. so i would get them changed now m8 IMO

Orion Si
i know they are a bit confusing arent they. they go practicly anywhere, were any joints meet each other in the steering and suspension parts. well if you get underneath your car, you cant miss them, they are just like shock absorbers really. Chrissyboy
if you gonna change the bushes it may be worth getting a new lower arm. I was quoted £40 per side from Ford and it may be worth getting new bushes for the anti roll bar, £4 each (not sure if thats retail price, as I get a discount)
Chrissyboy
I think there is one bush each side on the anit roll bar

Chrissyboy
what you need to do is jack up the car and look at the condition of the bushes. there isnt many, 3 on each lower arm I think, also check the ball joint and the anti roll bar bushes. if only a couple need replacing you can buy them from ford cheap, like I said about £4 per bush
