JonC
Im in exactly same situationU have to send away your License and apply for a Provisional (allow 3 weeks)Then a Theory Test (2 Weeks maybe more)Then Id advise a few lessons (week maybe two)Then a practical (2 weeks minimum for booking) So basically u have a few months to get ya license back Provisional license £35.00Theory £30.00Practical £35.00Driving Lessons £20 Per Hour aprox figuresso i reckon about 2 - 3 months and £200 if u pass first time on everything! I got a practical Monday the 14thim not very hopefull.. I am still really pissed off about it. Do you not reckon if i went to court they would let me off cos i have to drive for my job?? My boss said he would write me a letter saying my job may be comprimised if i lose my licence!!! Anyone else been let off? Dan

As a provisional driver you should have a passenger who is over 21 and has been driving for more than 3 years to accompany you and you should also be driving with L-plates on, worst come to the worst you could find in a crash you`re not insured if you`re out on your own.
