Matt Escort RS2k
I was parked up yesterday night and some chpa said are your back wheels ok, of course I said they are fine, why do you say that, he said well it looks like your back right wheel is facing inwards a little at an angle. I said thats because the car is lowered, I know says the guy but im not talking about the way the wheels sit he said they dont look straight on the car i.e the front of the wheel is facing a little inward. Any ideas?, is this normal?, the left one seems to do this, but not as much as the right. Paranoia mode on.
theMKVr
possibly something to do with the pinch and toe of the wheels or the camber??not sure but get your local kwik fit ot ford dealer to check em and they ussually can sort it out pretty cheap
Colin
Humm, has the car been reversed into a kerb hard or something recently? If you have lowered springs they might have poped outta their holders on the dampers...... Just an idea, but thats pretty extreme and i reckon dave's proabley right........ jp
if you replaced the rear tires at the same time, then compare the amount of tread, if they are the same then i wouldnt really worry about it. another test is that if one wheel isnt alined right then the car would not drive in a straight line when you let go of the steering wheel
Colin
Dont forget that on most cars, you will always find one of the rear wheels (if the car is on a complete axel like rs2k's are) will usually have one of the wheels sitting furthur out and one of em sitting a bit furthur in, its hardly even noticable until its pointed out........
