Posted April 25, 200519 yr i know its been brought up lots before,but im thinking of de-locking my doors,how much am i realistically looking at paying for this,and what drawbacks/side effects could i suffer by doing it,

April 25, 200519 yr well ive just had my locks taken off it looks alot better imo and is as you say more secure, if you get a flat batter can always hook jump leads/battery charger to the starter motor etc to get some power... ive also found that another key from another car we had would unlock my car :S thats how i got in when i locked me keys in lol

April 25, 200519 yr if your having other work done its usually £60 a side without paint i locked my keys in my rst before tho, so be careful

April 25, 200519 yr As long as you have the lock on your boot, youll still be able to get in if battery goes flat
April 25, 200519 yr i have no locks what so ever, and what ever you do dont leave your keys on your seat and then connect the battery, it locks the doors for you lol

April 25, 200519 yr you could always run to wires off the battery and run them down inside the front arch housing then all ya gota do if ur battery goes flat is connect the two to jump leads or wateva and voila unlocked car. Also ur the only one that will know there there!
