Posted April 25, 200519 yr I cutt my ankle open Saturday during a shaving fest and it was bleeding non stop for 45 minutes - wentthrough 5 plasters and leaked all over the carpet (that isn't mine) it was only a teeny cut! I t was right on my heel so my shoes rubbed it like mad Saturday night. I then discovered (as too many Sambucas took the pain away) that I have a blister on my little toe...it is nearly like having a 6th toe! It is really bugging me now....so is it going to hurt more or hurt at all if i pop it?? Shall I pop it or leave it to deflate and where does the liquid inside come from!? I thought it was all air til I had one on my hand the other week and Rob84 told me otherwise

April 25, 200519 yr You should never pop a blister as this could cause infection in the then open wound - the fluid is the body's way of protecting the 'burned' area. You should protect it, if possible with a 'doughnut' plaster, or at least with cotton wool and a plaster - then leave alone to heal by itself. Try to take the pressure off (kick off your shoe) as often as you can. Penny Edited April 25, 200519 yr by Foxy
