Posted May 17, 200519 yr I was just wondering if anyone knew anywhere that sells a plate that blanks out the main radio `hole`, as I want to put my radio below in the tape holder bit and have some switchs on this panel and possibly a gauge. Before anyone says it I'm useless when it comes to making things out of fibreglass and plastic, and I dont think wood would look good anyone able to help me? EDIT: not sure if this goes here or not Edited May 17, 200519 yr by The Ince
May 17, 200519 yr hav'nt seen any around, i know on ebay you can get covers for the lower tape tray. best bet would be a metal cover with 2 slots for dials, temp, turbo, oil pressure, voltmeter, etc. wud look very cool zeb
May 17, 200519 yr Author I was gonna put 1 gauge in, the controller for my neon kit (varad ULX300 colour changing kit) and some switchs for the interior lighting and exterior lighting that I'm going to do. Good point though chiefkeckers I hadn't even thought of metal
May 17, 200519 yr I don't think there is enough space at the bottom on the mk 6 dash, I moved it there on my mk 5, but the mk 6 was too narrow. We sold stereo size gauge holders which hold 3 gauges and clip into the stereo hole, but have sold out and not getting any more soon
May 17, 200519 yr Author cheers flack. Plan B, blanking the tape holder and getting a radio fascia that fits properly and dosen't fall out all the time
May 17, 200519 yr Author Mattyboy101 they are nice and I take it they actually stay in place (unlike the 1 I've got) but I want to try and have a flat panel above or below the stereo and I'm gonna need room for atleast 4 switchs and the remote for the LED kit and possibly a engine starter button
