i have a problem with my car, if i lock it from the inside while im in it, incase im in a scary place or something, it dead locks the door and i cant get out, unless i wind down the window and open from the outside with the car, all the other doors open fine, but its just the drivers door thats doing it, also the outside handle feels like its not connected to anything but works fine, just very loose,

 

another problem, when driving it says the a door is open, all doors are closed, and so is the boot, chute noticed one of the 3 little bars on the boot is permently up so do you reckon that could be the problem ?

The three little bars in the boot are the rear wipper (or atleast one is as on mine one of the connections is on top of that is broken and my wipper just sits there)! cant think what would cause it to dead lock though

One of the contacts for the boot on the car body (not the bootlid) is also a press button which you can press and the boot light goes out and would be the same switch for the door open if it was the boot.

 

If it was this though the boot light would be on constantly so it may be one of the door pin switches.

my front door was doing the same... i just changed the whole locking unit and now it is fine.....
