Posted June 4, 200519 yr What is the best way to go about making a false floor for the boot which is easily removable? or does it have to be bolted down anywhere. Need info asap as I would like to finish my boot off this week once and for all
June 4, 200519 yr I was actually thinking about this a while ago. Just an idea but i thought that bonnet pins might work! Plus they will look pretty good

June 4, 200519 yr Or you can do what i did, and cut it about 3-4mm out and the pack it out with some small wooden wedges.
June 4, 200519 yr cut the wood to shape, then cut it directly down the middle to get one side in first, then the other! then cover it how u like! thats wat we did with mine. makes it so much easier mate.
June 5, 200519 yr ive actually built a full frame the size of the boot out of 2" timber, then just drill a couple holes in it then youve got space for all your wiring etc, and more amps if needed

June 6, 200519 yr The false floor i have fits perfectly and doesnt need holding down with anything. Just make it a perfect fit.
June 12, 200519 yr or sod the spare wheel, and have a box that fits the maximum width in the boot, then the box dont move anyway. ans instead of a spare wheel carry a can or tyreweld... lol
