I might be being a little dumb here but i am getting my escort soon and they have standard 14" wheels on. My mate offered me his but they are 15"

Won't changing the size affect the speedo and mileage?

 

Also another mate has just bought a set of 14X6J CT alloys with Kumho Powermax 769, 195/60r14, 86H tyres that was previously fitted to a MK 3 Escort XR3I. He said he will sell them to me if i want them but will they fit my mk6?

195 50 15 is a standard Escort wheel size so is fine
