sime73
u guys probably talked about this before but what kind of work is involved in putting a rs turbo engine in a mk6 ???i know about the petrol tank and the wiring loom, is there anything else ? i was looking at this and i got one of those ideas that get u into trouble http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1786152611
simonh1
mmmmm........very tempting....... ....I've spoke to many people about this conversion, and apparently as long as you know about the wiring and plumbing it's a straight forward job with minimal messing about. furry
put it this way i'd buy it if it were near me! go on do it fella!! you'll ave to get an auto electrian or a good mate who knows what he doing to fit the loom cos could be tricky/fiddly plumming to mk6 dash
Colin
Thats what a friend of mine is doing with his orion, same as astra si's. He bought a rs turbo series two and is taking out the front seats, engine and dash and wiring the whole lot up! Go for it mate, you would have all the bits there needed, and as for the wiring, you would have all the looms in the complete car, os its a case of getting aHaynes manuel and splicing them all up! Go for it!
