HoldTilSold_co_uk Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 ive got a set of 300mm callipers and discs and pads.discs have plenty of meat on them and callipers are good.the pads are getting low but i'd say they were 2/3 worn so a few thousand miles left yet.£200 essexcan post for £16i offered them up today and on a mk5/6 they look like they are either a straight fit or the disc may need a small ammount of spacing, i couldnt bolt them up coz they need the hub holes drilled to 12mm and it wasnt my car so......pics of them. and gti comparison pic of size compared to gti set up, large!!
rocksta Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 what are they off n what work needs to be done to make them fit a mk6?
Muzz Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 They look like ST170's mate and all you need to do is drill a 12mm hole so the caliper bolt will fit iirc.
Devboy Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Same here! :'(. Fcuking parking fines. i onyl have £120 to pay otherwise i could have had these bad boys!
Drk_red_Mk5 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 120! havnt you been payin em, or you just got loads or summat?
HoldTilSold_co_uk Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 what are they off n what work needs to be done to make them fit a mk6? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>st170 disc's and mondeo st callipers.you will need 12mm drill bit todrill hub holes, thats a very easy job as hubs are soft cast.direct type brake pipes, go down the breakers and get some off a mondeo or puma or rear rs2000 mk5 or some mk4 escorts i think will fit, just has to be long enough.may need small spacing behind the disc as put in top post, but im not sure
