dose any one know if i can get it done to my car? its a escort 1.8 si with the big efi thing at the back its ment to be a 105 ps but its gettin converted to a 130 ps so i dont know if that makes any odds? also its got a pipercross air filter n magnex full exhaust

As far as I'm aware you probably could get it done, not sure how much though, thinking about doing this too, but y'know the government as soon as more people do it, the tax will rise....alot!

I think most shell garages sell lpg, haven't really noticed any other garages selling it, here anyway

but by the time you have payed to get lpg put in your car, you have to do "x" ammount of miles to see the benefit, you might not even have the car by then.

It costs around £1200-1500 to convert as far as I know... why spend the money modifying a car if you can't afford the petrol?

can you still get council/local government grants for the conversion, know you could when this all started.

 

could have a spare wheel well tank and carry the wheel in the boot or get a roof rack n carry it on top of the car (seen it done thats why i'm suggesting it)

i think so av emailed bout 8 places bout it but only 1 got back saying that my car was unsutibale but am gonna keep trying

They're talking crap, you can convert any combustion engine to run on gas (which as you probable no is basically what it runs on atm, well more like fuel vapours)

 

There was a guy on here that had an LPG GTi. it was green

wouldn't worry about it, wont run out of oil in your life time.
