viceman82 Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 yo people, I have a mate whom I work with, now he is only about 21/22ish? he's just bought a p reg rs 2000, but I suspect it's not one at all, for starters theirs his age, insurance would prob cost a bomb and on his wage it's doubtful he could afford decent coverage, then theirs the lack of rear disk brakes>? he claims the previous owner converted them to drums? ? ? the skirts n' spats are clearly newer paint than the rest of the car..and to top it of, he wouldnt let anyone see the I4 2.0l engine becuase of.well summet or other, bonnet catch broken or summet.. the badge's are all their and correct as is the interior with front recaro's, the rs shares the same trim pattern as an Si so whipping in a pair of front rs 2k recaro's would be Pee easy and nobody would be non the wiser...what else should it have to be the genuine article? oh and also their is no security on it!!
sortedford Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 get his reg n go to directline to get a insurance quote from putting the reg in
BlairM Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Hmmm, ask to see the V5, most simplest method! Even better, ask him for a run in it and to show ya what it can do. I'm sure he'd find excuses.. Insurance for me on a RS2k would of been £1300 TPFT and I'm 20 with 1 years NCB
Muzz Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 (edited) Rear drums = No RS2k . Check the skirts for jacking covers and see if there spats are riveted or bonded on . What idiot would conver it back to drums pmsl. Edited September 8, 2005 by Muzz
