Anyone Know If ....

you need to declare conviction code ZC31 to your insurance company? For parking on the zebra crossing zig zags. Other half got it today while at work delivering. I've looked into all the codes on various insurance websites, and it's not listed. I've spoken with one company, and they said as its not on the system, then it doesn't need to be declared, that and the fact its NOT a driving conviction, it's a PARKING conviction. Even spoke to my bruv who's a copper, he reckons you don't need to declare it to insurance (again due to it being a parking offence). The officer who dished it out didn't inform my other half to tell the insurers, whereas when he was caught speeding 9 years ago he was told to inform insurance.

 

So, anyone know the answer?

nope, my 3 points never affeted mine

 

my dad's 6 points never affeted his

 

some people's were affected by points, but never by any more than a stupid amount like £50, so I can't see a parking offence adding owt, couple of quid tops, lol

doubt it. i had six points (sp30 and ts10) at one stage and made no change to it at all

I have the very same 'conviction' lol, was told i need to declare it to my insurance for 4 years even though it only stays on your licence for 3, I shouldn't think it would go up much if any at all, after all its only a parking offence not like he was doing 110mph in a school crossing zone

So, u reckon he should tell them? And if he does it won't put the premium up too much (if at all hopefully)?

 

And he didn't get a word in, was slapped with it straight away. No excuses for delivering. He accepts he done wrong. He just won't work on a busy Saturday again!!

Seriously?? The "or not" option? I personally wouldn't tell them, but he wants to make sure. In my opinion ... "if its not on the list, it doesn't exist!"

Things is though, if we was to have any sort of accident in the next 3 years it would invalidate ANY claim he makes, so for the small amount it could go up if ANY, I'd declare it
