yumyum33 Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I have been looking to change my Mark 3 Fiesta to an Escort GTI, and have finally found one I like. I have checked the VIN numbers and they all agree, but my only question is regarding the VIN number on the drivers side floor. Is it usually behind a plastic door, and where abouts is it situated. I only ask as when I looked at the GTI, this was found by just lifting a small section of carpet, and because my fiesta has a little plastic cover I was a bit suprised. I would understand if there was a hole where the cover was supposed to be, but the carpet was complete there. Just a small cut to allow access. It also seemed to be in a slightly different position to the Fiesta mark, and not knowing the escort, I am unsure if that is right. What do you think?? Am I worrying over nothing?? By the way it is from a dealer, who was very helpful, and checked the VIn numbers with me, which should give me some form of security. Thanks for any help you can give. Ricky
