DROPTOP ADS Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Has anyone swapped the original throttle body from their escort for a 2L Mondeo throttle body and found any noticeable improvment in acceleration? I've heard mixed reviews about this conversion and just wondered if anyone could shed any light on it. I have both the throttle body and MAF sensor sitting in my garage but don't wanna muck about with the swap if it ain't really worth it. Cheers
sortedford Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 people usually get posative results from doing it
Ex-Finesse Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 It can be done, but no you will not notice any gain If you do, it's imaginary.

HoldTilSold_co_uk Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 yes there is a difference definately but its not that much.i swaped mine and it gave less midrange but more top end.its ideal starting ground for modding.you wont ever have a big bhp engine running 105 spec throttle body as its so small and is just for economy.it increases the induction noise very slightly too if you run a k and n
