Anybody know the sorta average speed a 125cc will go? Also is 125 the highest you can go till your 21?

I've had 3 125cc bikes and the top speed normally depends. You will probaly be looking at around 70-90mph depending on what u have.

 

And yes that is true about the 21 thing.

the only way to ride a large bike before the age of 21 is if you pass your test on a 125 at 17, then you are restricted for 2 yrs to 33bhp then at 19 you can ride a big bike!! sweet

My basketball team are motorbike mad.. I don't know much, but one has a Fazer, one has a Daytona Triumph (995 i think) and one has an Hyabusa which I am yet to get a glimpse of

true, an old mate of mine rode a Cagiva Mito 125 for two years, then on his 19th birthday, he bought himself a YZF R6....jammy sod lol

had my r6 coming on 4 years now, best toy i ever bought wouldn't sell it for the world did 300miles on it last year so hardly used it.

costs me approx £200 a year to tax insure and mot it.

Quality, I love them.

 

Its my mates first bike.. he pays £1080 for the Insurance (Lol). I thought he was a bit of a loon for buying such a powerful bike straight out, but hey..

17, 1yr NCB, £570 per year to insure...

 

33BHP restricted though, but still shifts

 

Still wearing it in, just done 362 miles in under one week, let alone a year!

 

BTW nice R6 , someone at work has just got a brand new one, very very nice peice of kit!

a mate of mine had a mito, he de resticted it and got 120 out of it (not on a public road of course )

if i had somewhere safe to keep a bike then id have one, i dont like the idea of keeping one out on the road in all weather for anyone to touch.

 

did some researching into it and for 3-ish grand i could pass my tests buy and insure a bandit aswell as helmet n clothes.
