GTi rear spats

I Want to fit some rear spats on my car eventually but not sure if they will fit as my exhaust comes out at the corner of the bumper as it's a TD model (see pic)

 

 

Anyone know if they will fit or will they have to be trimmed to fit to stop them hitting the exhaust?

 

 

 

And yes i know the towbar need's to come off it's on my "to do" list PMSL

get a new exhaust and fit the bumper with the cut out in it

That's a possibility mate but don't wanna go getting another bumper and spraying it to match just for the sake of rear spats!

 

Might just buy some and have a go fitting them if they no good will simply sell em on!

i had the same prob, i just replaced the exhaust and cut a new hole

i know that its a MEGA bodge, but hacksaw the tail pipe down a bit?

i got a mk6 td too, but my exhaust doesnt come out like that

my exhaust is in the same place as a 1.6 or 1.8

i know this because one of my friends has a 1.6, and another has a 1.8, lol

My exhaust looks like yours but not in that position.

Looks like whoever fitted it hasnt located it correct.imo.

just wait till you need a replacement exhaust, unless you really want them now,

and when you need a replacement exhaust get a nice stainless one,

will be tops
