basskiddanny Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Hey this might sound really stupid, but is there any way to stop my windows from getting condensation on the inside?? Because its annoying in the morning when i get up and the rear quarter windows have steamed up from the inside AND outside, since i have a 3door, its a lot of hassle to climb into the back and wipe them before driving.....Yeah a stupid question, which will probably get some even worse answers lol. But if anyone knows a way to stop this let me know, as backing off my drive can be annoying sometimes when you cant see out. P.S Did ford ever make heated glass for the front side windows?
Mk6 Si Ross Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 isn't there a spray or a wipe you can buy???
theresa Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 since i have a 3door, its a lot of hassle to climb into the back and wipe them before driving.... backing off my drive can be annoying sometimes when you cant see out. Use your wing mirrors You wouldn't be any good driving a van would you

Use your wing mirrors You wouldn't be any good driving a van would you LOL i mean you cant see the cars coming down the road, and it can be very busy in the mornings, using the wing mirrors would only show me the wall on the other side of the road lol. Other cars come from both sides as i back out, hard to explain lol.
bluliz Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 well, dont reverse out on to a busy road as it dangerous, reverse in to your drive when you get in. much easier in the mornings, and far safer.

Its not a main road, just near a school. You would have to see it to realise it would be impossible to reverse up lol, esecially with my mums BMW on the drive too
bluliz Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 i like reverse. lol ahh so u get all the school run, 4x4 everywhere lol
PeeWee Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Not sure but i think its actually ilegal to back out of a drive into a road or street. Just one of those weird but sensible laws me thinks. Doesnt really answer your question though. I used to have an anti mist spray for my bike viser years ago so there must be something similar for cars i would think???

Lol what a silly law, i see cars driven forwards onto the drive all the time lol.
Ex-Finesse Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Can't you start the car 5 or 10 mins early in the morning? Leave the heater on full, should be nice and warm and also have cleared the condensation once you get in it

Ex-Finesse Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Exactly Ross. You can't reverse round a corner from a minor road into a major road. Same principle.
Pete Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I'm sure someone told me if you leave the window down a touch, it stops condensation forming on the inside Something to do with cooling down the inside of the car.
theresa Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 LOL i mean you cant see the cars coming down the road, and it can be very busy in the mornings, using the wing mirrors would only show me the wall on the other side of the road lol. As said in other posts, you can get like an anti-mist/fogging stuff to put on your windows. Don't know if it's available for cars, but if you look in a motorbike section you will find it, as bikers use it on their visors.
basskiddanny Posted November 5, 2005 Author Posted November 5, 2005 Does everybody get this or is it anything to do with the front window seals being fucked? lol
