Hmmm...... wouldn't expect that much power using the standard zetec injection and intake.

Probabily need throttle bodies for that sort of power figure.

Ditto- Ross spent about £5000 on his I think and that got him 165bhp. :thumb:

So no way is that little list will get you that figure. :tired:

You have hydraulically operated lifters already

You won't 170bhp unless you go for bodies with a wild top end spec. :)

as im not the best with this i want to no if what he is saying is right . can anyone wright me a email to send him asking the question i need to ask to see how much crap he is talking  . if someone can i will post hes reply up so you can all see ..... has anyone herd of them because apparently thay have one a few competitions

hi bin speaking to dunnell..www.dunnellengines.com

and thay have told me this

Suggest our RMP101 modified cylinder head and a pair of ZRV camshafts.

Together with a suitably modified ECU (chipped) you can expect over 170 bhp.

is this true

i have 1.8 gti

its 100% true. You can expect 170bhp, but ask them to guarrentee it ;)

"New engines are run for up to five hours on our computer controlled dynamometer, and then fully power tested with all variables being uniquely adjusted for your engine in order to guarantee top performance and reliability. Finally, and only if the engine meets the stated power output, the engine is subjected to a final inspection prior to sign off. "

SOME people my take that as a guarentee that it will make the power stated when you go to them..........But as lee said, you can EXPECT 170bhp, but you wont get it lol.

How much did he quote you for this?

This sort of stuff makes me laugh.

Tell him that you want him to sign a binding contract stating that you are gaurenteed 170bhp or more subject to him doing the work and you paying for it and see what he says!

Oh and record the phone conversation and email it to me :thumb:

finally he has replyed ant this is what he has to say

If you require a guarantee of the engines output, then the way forward is

for us to rebuild the engine for you as requested, place the unit on our

Dynamometer, and obtain the genuine power figures.

The estimated cost for the above is £800 labour for the rebuild and £440 for

the dynamometer run (6 hours) and power test.

Regards,

what you reckon .. what is a dynamoneter :O
