dave_20 Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 am thinking about lowering me mk 6 escort, am going to do it with a g max spring and shocksav been told that 60mm will scrub my tyres realy badly and make it handly pants speedbumps dont bother me round mine but theres a few bumpy roads i also think 40mm isnt low enough IMO what do you guys recomend?
Hezz Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I'm thinking of putting PI springs on mine 35mm drop most people on here are saying 30-40 is best all round how much is the gmax setup? cheers
Rob_GTi Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Bout £200ish mate. id go for 40mm, ive seen 60mm drop and its so unpratical.

Hezz Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 no ta, the pi springs are only £60 del'd. are they any good?
dave_20 Posted November 1, 2005 Author Posted November 1, 2005 thats £200 for springs and shocks erm as far as i know (witch is a lot lol) there ok but not the best on the market
Hezz Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 sorry for hijacking your thread but any recommendations on springs only?
dave_20 Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 erm not sure mate id look on ebay i know that there are loads on there i have heared that just springs handle pants on uneven cambers and bumpy roads
Lee R Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 depends if you want it to look slammed or handle nice? I chose 40mm, glad it did
dave_20 Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 cheers mate, am prob moregointo lower it 60mm coz 40mm IMO looks half done.
dave_20 Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 for looks mainly but i do like goin quickly
Lee R Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 for looks mainly but i do like goin quickly 40 is the best compromise. Its a common myth that the lower you go, the better it handles
