does any one know of any company that makes a racing clutch and flywheel for my mk6 1.8si (115bhp) as i replaced mine 4 months ago and its going again.
racing clutches wear down even quicker m8

if u get a lightened flywheel, ur car would fly :D (boom boom) no seriously the car would be well quick

a little exagertated Si, I had it done to a few cars, makes a difference, yes, but not huge :rolleyes: :D ;) ;) :P

advantages and disadvantages of a lightened and balanced flywheel are:

 

advantages

1. Engine accelerates faster so feels more lively due to reduce rotating mass - throttle response is sharper, you get places faster!

2. Engine decelerates faster .. better for gear changes

3. More power on most Dynos

disadvantages

1. Lumpier idle speeds due to less damping

2. Easier to stall the car when setting off due to less stored energy

3. Less damping on the engine so slightly harder on gearbox/diff
