on saturday, i fixing my orion for its new MOT, while im at it, i want to fix all the other problems with it. hope u guys can help with this

 

1) wen i i look the doors only the front 2 look, the 2 rears and the boot DONT , wat could be making this happen. some people say it could be the solenoid well if it is how do i fix it. a bit of WD40 or will i ave to get a new solenoid. but were can i get one from

 

2) the passenger leccy window doesnt budge, could a squirt of WD40 do the trick of will it be more serious.

 

also out of interest. were the f**k is the idle valve on a mk2 orion 1.6i

 

Are you sure you have power going to the rear doors & boot ??

they lock themselves and then unlock themselves

 

 

how do i check anyway to check if power is goin to the back

If they do that then they have power, check to see if the lock inside (in the door handle) ain't sticking.

take the door panel off & spray all the moving locking mechanisum parts with wd40. then have someone continuously lock & unlock the car doors while you sit in the back rocking the lever to the lock on & off, to work the wd40 in. (if you know what i mean)

I think you will find that it's just lack of use, so a good soak in wd40 and sort of force the inside lock lever to work should free it up.

rite i took the door cards off the two rear doors and sprayed them with WD40 and it worked

 

i then took the front left door card to spray the leccy window and tried moving it up and down with the switch and it still didnt budge, so its either the swicth is duff or i need a whole new leccy window,

 

the boot still doesnt lock, so i think theres no power goin to it, how can i test and fix it
