does anyone know if a mk4 1600 cvh engine go into a mk5 scort????

thats a similar engine to the rst?

if so yes it will, how easily i dont know? might have to splice the looms up

i just want to run it on carbs,theres less fafin about with looms and ecus etc innit

What yr and type mk5 ? it'll still fit but you might have a prob with the ignition........ but you might be lucky and have the right block to still work

its a 9/90 model mk5 one of first ones on a h plate,its got the dizzyless ignition

Look for a cps cut out in the frt of the block( just above where the starter would go) if there's a cut out then the mk4 cvh block should fit and you'll be able to run the mk5 ignition/flywheel assem ........ i think

is that the detonatin/crank sensor??? or something like that???
