Muzz to "pop the shafts" just cut the tie that holds the inner cv boot cover on, Cut the one closest to the gearbox (the largest end) and pull the boot back and then the shaft can be pulled out without loosing anyoil as it'll leave the end of the shaft still in the box :thumb:

Massive thanks to Ben Muzz and Rob who helped and were there for moral support!

Also, quote from Muzz: "I wouldn't have fisting as my number one way to die..... maybe 4th"

Looking forward to tomorrow, lets hope we get to put the engine crane to use! :D

There are slight wiring differences between the cars, so I'm a little sceptical about being able to put the plastic inlet manifold on without extending a couple of wires for sensors. :(

I'm also hoping the car will run with no re-wiring needed to the ecu multiplug!! Just like Andy C's!! Mine is external EDIS and K-reg.

Been a good day though, cheers for all ya help guys :thumb: :thumb:

EDIT: 8o 8o 8o 8o 8o 8o 8o @ the orion's drivebelt!! It had split for a good 2 foot of it's length!

All the fluids were a nasty colour too! Very bleck oil, nasty P/S fluid and dirty water X( Not to worry though, good to find it out! :)

Putting the current Escort's 2.0L in the Orion, scrapping/selling the orion engine I guess, and using Ross' old engine or most of it for his new project for the Escort.

Hmmm, there was me under the impression that there wouldn't be anyone there on Sunday and it'll all mostly be done, so said yes to covering someones shift at work.....FS :nutter: but LOL thought you would've had more than that done by the end of the day, damn slackers

Engine is just about out, however we have another problem in that Mike's car has just p1ssed brake fluid everywhere. After close inspection, it seems that the suspension has rubbed against the brake line coming from the ABS pump so we are now dismantling the braking system on Ross's old car to try and fit to Mike's, if this doesn't work fcuk knows what we will do as his brake down cover ran out 2 weeks ago   .
