Nope, no stereo at all, no creature comforts, not even a heater. Pure driving machine and nowt else!

Once the shell is completed (we're getting there now, it's just a case of getting it ready for paint) things should start to move along nicely in terms of putting the thing together.

fair enough :) are there any more time consuming bits to wait for? or is it bolt it on then start getting the engine in?

Nothing really time consuming now, in terms of "outside" jobs. Just a few more smaller ones.

Still got a fair shopping list, which as much as I'd like to go out and buy in one go, just ain't possible!

I'm swapping all the running gear and suspension set-up to STi 10 (last of the saloon shaped STi's before the new hatch), including the 6spd gearbox, DCCD, prop, driveshafts, hubs etc etc etc, so will have to source that lot. But yeah, not long before I can switch my attentions to the mechanical side of things, which I'm looking forward to now!

It should be all done next year sometime, can't put a precise date on it by a long way.

As said, a classic shape Impreza was used for the donor for the tunnel etc as it was cost effective, uber-clean WRX wagon for £750, re-coup more than double that selling bits off it and still have quite a bit left.

Never wanted the engine/gearbox or anything out of it, was always going to swap for something out of a later car. The important thing is it will all fit without toooooooooo much work
