I just bought a sub to complement my amp. However on the way home, I remembered someone telling me it screws the alarm up cos you have to disconnect the battery.

Any quick answers?

Thanks..

i would have thought it would f**k ur alarm up a bit ?(

Most alarms only require a press on the remote when connectly the battery back up.

It won't f*ck it up at all   ?(

Redsquirrel, just refer to the alarm hand book mate.

i dont have a clue, but it does f**k ur stereo up wen u disconnect the battery, so i thought the alarm would be the same ?(

It doesn't 'f*ck' the stereo up, you just lose the memory. "F*ck up" is a bit over the top :D :D ;) ;)

well it is a bit over the top,k but if u dont no ur code ur f**ked :D

decent head units don't have codes :D :kill: :D ;) ;)

well all my mates taxis ave codes ave i forgot and disconneted a few batterys........ he wasnt very happy

If you already have the amp & are just adding the sub, then is the amp already wired up???? ?(

My alram, Ai606, has something called a "valet" mode which you put it in whenever you are doing something electrical.

Id check your handbook if I was you which Im not but theoretically if I was then thats what I would do like mate innit.

yeah anyway we didnt actually disconnect the battery, we just connected straight up to it.

We couldnt get it all working though. Whether this was down to it not being wired properly, or a dodgy amp (i got it given to me, but havent tested it yet. I was assured it did work though).

Will have to try again tommorrow as it got way too dark.

better luck 2moz then :thumb:
