Chris_Uk
Anybody know that after fitting mondeo v6 front brake set up the 15" gti rims will still fit or is bigger wheels needed?
Trig
it has been said that they are the same as cossie calipers, the disc size is the same anyway. if this is the case then Im afraid your answer is no
Muzz
They wont fit because the caliper requires spacing out, not because of the size of the disc.
ScORTED
278's if tbehind 15's... as muzz said with the caliper spaced you'd need to chose wheels carefully
The Ince
If you dont want to fit them, then sell me your carriers as I've lost mine
basskiddanny
278's if tbehind 15's... as muzz said with the caliper spaced you'd need to chose wheels carefully Somebody on ebay told me they don't fit behind Mondeo wheels either. I'm not sure how true that is. But he told me that was the only reason he chose cossie wheels over the mondeo ones, because there wasn't enough room behind the replica wheels found on the mondeo. They'll fit behind mondy 16"s with no problem, there's loads of room left on the studs. As soon as I can get hold of some carriers I'll proove this (already got calipers and discs and pads are on order). Even with the mondy calipers you use the 4x4 Cossie discs as they have a smaller bell making them fit properly probably teh reason why that bloke on ebay couldn't get them to fit
basskiddanny
Are 4x4 Cossie discs and 4x4 Mondeo discs the same?? And the V6 Mondeo discs have a bigger "bell"?
The Ince
Are 4x4 Cossie discs and 4x4 Mondeo discs the same?? And the V6 Mondeo discs have a bigger "bell"? Mondeo discs require more spacing As the center part that sticks out (the bell) is wider. That's the only difference, so buy Cossie 4x4 discs for mondy V6 calipers, you can use either pads though. As far as I know mondeo 4x4 discs are smaller. Edited April 18, 2006 by The Ince
