rang up last week to sort insurance out for the white 1.3 im buying and it all went through ok now i still havnt recieved a cover note , so rang up today and they "fogot" to post it , so they said they would post it 1st thing tomoz , now i need this to get tax but they said it could take up to 2 days and i need to get this car on saturday for a number of reasons , and the post man doesnt come til 9.30 and its in kent a good 3-31/2 hour drive from here no if it doesnt come on fri im fucked basically :(:(:(

 

so does any body know of a way i could speed this process of getting the cover note up cheers chris

My brothers insurance company faxed a copy of the insurance docs to the post office i believe and they accepted that.

You aren't with Norwich Union are you? My Mum's having this problem with them at the moment :(

get a cover note faxed through, dont usually aqccept this at the PO but if they know you personally there :thumb:

It's actually illegal to fax legal documents with the insurance now... they really shouldn't do it....but many still do

as rob has said, the PO very rarely accept a photocopy...

 

Ring your insurer back, and DEMAND they send it via special delivery today because THEY have messed up and it's going to cost you

1. your job

2. a days wages

 

so unless they want a fight for damages/costs, they will spent £3.95 and have it deliveried to you door by 9am tomorrow... if they say they cant....... ask to speak to their team leader.... (being nice to every1 at first)...then manager..... then ask for the MD or somebody of that nature to ring you back whilst you phone the 'Financial Services Authority'

the second you mention the FSA any 'decen't insurance company will do whats right by the customer :thumb:
