right the garage fitting the engine phone me today saying there is a problem.

engine doesnt sit right????

the mount on the drives side has been bolted on (not tight tho)

when we pull the mounts up at the gearbox side the engine is lifted up so far that it sits squint. (high at passenger side)

also looking across the engine bay the engine also sits squint

this is using the rs2k mounts. ?? I have a rs2k subframe for the rear gearbox mount.

does i need to mix and match mounts from the 1.6 zetec???

the engine also sits hard against the power steering tank.

if you want an honest opinion,

If a garage rang me asking for advice, i'd take it somewhere else.

take it your using RS engine, box, subframe, shafts, hubs, mounts etc? should bolt straight up ?(

where they asking for your help or just lettin you know they have to do extra work to fix it?

if they are asking for your advice... i would use a different garage to be honest.. like lee said.

the rs2000 engine bay is the same physical size as yours.

have you asked jdm to see if he can help?

does look good in ur car tho... so wish i would of bought that engine now

its the first time he has done this conversion,

From what i have red it should all just bolt in.

Using rs2k engine mtx75 gbox, subframe, mounts, driveshafts and hubs.

and yes that is a integra in the back ground ...a turbo charged one!!

you putting it in a mk6? shouldnt of needed to change the sub frame? the hubs either?

ive just taken an I4 out of a mrk 6 and it had the MTX fitted with si hubs, si sub frame.

assime the shafts are rs but havnt compared them yet .

:)) sure i just typed this in once, if deleted , why?

i'm fitting a I4 into a mrk 6 now and it was removed from a mrk 6 also, the sub frame wasnt different and the hubs were si also, the shafts i havnt compared yet but when it comes to mounts ive just got to line up se what works and what dosnt.

there a mod takein the mickeal

Just to add, ive decided to go with fitting a IB5 box with my I4 as there good for 250bhp, so the mounts on that side should be the same as previos.
PM Replied to mate
I had this problem, where the gearbox mount was not sitting ontop of each other right.

the engine and rear gearbox mount looks right

the front gearbox mount doesn't from that pic....any better ones?

it looks like theres a turbo on it in the first pic!
that does look like a turbo MENTAL !!!!
as sime says they aint fitted the front gearbox mount?

It is a turbo :D

it was in voodoo's motor before he built/fitted his ZVH :thumb:

lol :)

I think if they put the mounts in properly it should be ok.
