May 4, 200618 yr It cant be oil, well not engine oil obviously. my only thoughts is that is from your shock absorber strange one that
May 4, 200618 yr Yes, could be the shock absorber, or could be dirty/old brake fluid leaking from a pipe, etc.
May 4, 200618 yr Could well be the brake cylinder gone, mine went on the bung on my Escort and pissed out all over the wheel, in the process I Shite myself on a motorway when I went for the brakes! Edited May 4, 200618 yr by BlairM
May 4, 200618 yr Author Deffo coming from above and dripping from the arch, not a lot only small amounts, its black and quite thick, almost like sludge Im going to York tomorrow so better get it checked over in the morning
May 4, 200618 yr Good idea to check em out, last thing you want is to find yoursel with no brakes halfway to york fella
May 4, 200618 yr Deffo coming from above and dripping from the arch, not a lot only small amounts, its black and quite thick, almost like sludge Find out if it's the shock absorber or brakes first, if not, then it's a strange one. Have you ever had it wax oiled, treated underneath, etc? May be a daft suggestion, but could it possibly be the warmer weather making it go a bit runnier and dripping from your arch Or anything that may of spilt in your boot and is leaking through? Aren't fuel fillers on the driver's side of Escorts?(It is on my van, but didn't know if it's any different on the cars?) Can you smell any fuel? Edited May 4, 200618 yr by theresa
