zetec piston question

ok i found a machinist whos going to openup the little end of zetec rod to suit the c20let pistons.

just a quick question,

the machinit did as whever they should be pressfit or floating?

also he tryed one of the zetec rods in the c20let piston and was concderned theres no play, he said there should be some play on the each side of piston when on pin,

anyone please point some inforamtion regarding this.
