Pelles
y'ello, is it possible to replace the standard seat frames with one thats capable of being raised and lowered? with me being a short arse in all, would much prefer a frame that allows me to to do this... cars a mk5b, standard interior fit. sortedford
i dont think there really is any mate ever thought about longer bolts, and something like big thick washers to raise the seat?
McRic
I woulda thought you could just swap the frame over with a gti frame with height adjustment?
Pelles
i dont think there really is any mate ever thought about longer bolts, and something like big thick washers to raise the seat? nah mate, would be a pain in the arse and I dont know what implications that would have on the loading factor should the car take an impact. How ever, i do believe there are aftermarket seats that come with the raising ability? if so ill bite the bullet and throw them in on top of my other plans.... I woulda thought you could just swap the frame over with a gti frame with height adjustment? Ohh Ric...I like the dirty talk, tell me more! PeeWee
Yes as ric says, mk5b subframes are the same as mk6 so shouldnt be a problem
McRic
as above the frames are the same, it would just be a case of swapping tham over and running electrics to it to power the motor

McRic
ghias although I aint ever seen a 3 dr ghia. Electrics should be straight forward mate, you could just wire it straight to the battery, set the height you're after and then leave it unwired.
