Just a quick question with probably a simple answer.

Why when fitting a 2.0 mondy engine to a 1.6/1.8 escort do we have to use the 1.8 water pump etc??

Im looking a throwing a 2.0 into my MK4 Escort and Im unsure why/if I would need all those 1.8 parts Im led to belive I have to have??

Or could I just use a 2.0 mondy engine and rad?

we use a 1.8 water pump because the wheel is spun the opposite way on the mondeo so your coolant system wouldnt flow properly. I used the escort themostat to make sure it would all be original too.

I also used the 1.8 inlet manifold as it is exactly the same as the 2.0, just mine has never had an EGR fitted so the inlet isnt coked up
