cossiewannabe
ok so my motor started to drink water like it was going out of fasion . no leaks to be seen then started to worry as it was up and down on the temp gauge. so ive left it alone now and spoke to a few ppl and discoverd its the head gasket. now i was thinking of going for a 2.0lt conversion. but is it poss to keep my 1.8 bottom end and replace the piston and cylinder and head with a 2.0lt one. will i also need to change the ecu ? just wounderd if the price diffrence would be worthy of doing this job. any one with any suggestions
sortedford
2.0 pistons wont fit a 1.8 engine mate, the block would need to come out the be machined anyway, assuming its thicck enough to take the 2.0 pistons, which im unsure of
cossiewannabe
sorry there seems to be a bit off confusion. i meen remove the head and piston block inc pistons. and then repace the 1.8 with a 2.0lt head and piston block just leaving the orignal 1.8 bottom. or am i tripping out
