SiScort
can I just ask... why a 4-1 and not a 4-2-1... surely you could do with the backpressure... what specs your engine? and how much are you looking to spend
cossiewannabe
sorry your are right its a 4-2-1 i want and looking to spend £
SiScort
have you looked towards importing one from the states? the build quality is great http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-00-05-F...sspagenameZWDVW those are $155 dollars, should be like a hundred quid plus shipping and import duties, that should nicely slot into your £200 budget, brand new and better than anything you'll get over here
Ex-Finesse
Be careful - the manifold is for a focus, so check it will clear your escort sump
cossiewannabe
i was thinking that as well. i like the finish on the yankie one but i just dont want to make a mistake. plus i can only do cash deals. thanks any way SiScort
SiScort
I dont think you should be running an escort sump on a 2.0 though... I thought they were different to the 1.
Trig
you need to use the sump off a 1.8 so that the exhaust system can still be fitted without a custom one being fabricated. there has been no problems with mine
SiScort
are you using a 4-2-1 on yours though or a standard manifold? I understand you need to use the 1.8 sump with a standard manifold but aren't 99% of the aftermarket 4-2-1's based on the 2.0 engine in which case is the cut out in the sump not offset slightly in comparison to the 1.8? I may be wrong but thats just what i understood to be the case when using an aftermarket manifold
Muzz
My aftermarket 4-2-1 is fine on my 2.0L using the Escort Sump..
