Muzz
Just been down to the garage who are doing an oil pump gasket on my 2.0L zetec, and they have just shown me that when the sump plug is undone, it Pees out emulsified oil. Apparently, it let about 4 litres of water out before it mixed with the oil. They say this can be one of two things, either the headgasket has gone or there is a crack in the block. Im hoping it is the headgasket obviously . How hard is a HG to do on a Zetec? I put the engine etc in myself, they only have the car as i dont have time to fix it at the moment, im quite handy with the spanners. Anyone got a quick guide laying about? Trig
I will tell you in a week... Its not too hard. exhaust manifild off, rocker off, cams out, head off, change gasket, head on, cams in, rocker on, exhaust manifold on (I hope so) I dont think that the inlet manifold would need to come off, maybe just take off the inlet pipe to the throttle body
