Skirts

Ok guys i have been thinking about what kinda of skirts i am going to get for me car and i was thinking about the rs2000 ones as i dont want the car too over board as it sits outside my house on the main road and i dont want to attract too much attention, but i was wondering what u guys thinking about spraying the skirts with spray cans if i took my time would i get a good effect and be able to get them put on my car or would u be able to tell the difference str8 away.

Trust me, its not worth doing with spray cans.

 

I tried it with my skirts, I must have gone through £70 worth (primer, matallic paint, lacquer) of cans, and the finish ended up almost matt.

 

I paid £100 a couple of weks ago to have them done properly

 

Spray cans are only ment for smaller jobs, otherwise its not economical

Think hard before going down the RS2000/GTi (they are the saem yes?) route, they limit you if you come to change the front bumper IMO.

well i was thinking about going for the cossie spoiler on the bumper and i know that it suits the skirts too and its not over the top.

that cossie splitter and GTi skirts is what Sorted4 has.. looks good IMO... getting my GTi kit in a few weeks

always get plastics painted pro imo cos if not as soon as you go near a pressure washer you'll blast it off, you really need it done pro cos they make a kinda flexible paint mix which stops the paint from cracking.

Spend that bit more and get it done professionally will be well worth it in the long run.
