Unichips and power boost valves

ok guys what are the advantages and disadvantages of these, are they worth the money or not and do they increase fuel consumption much. Tell me all u know

They seem a little gimmicky to me, surely the FSE power boost valve is just gonna supply the car with more fuel yet the ecu wont want it as much and will compensate, and the ecotek things well, Damien has one and i think he said it is in his brake line, hows that gonna make the engine go faster imo another gimmick....

planning on tune up rolling road and superchip with them, want my problems sorted also....
