escort_16v Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 what do power caps do? I'm a total novice with ice as it dont really interest me. Single cd player is enough for me
Chrissyboy Posted March 4, 2003 Posted March 4, 2003 its like a 'buffer' so when your system needs a lot of power on a big bass drop for example, its got it stored in the cap looks nice sime I got one saturday as well
sime73 Posted March 4, 2003 Author Posted March 4, 2003 looks nice sime I got one saturday as well well in a few months youll hopefully be fitting it
Matt Escort RS2k Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 WHy did you get a cap, why not spend the cash on an uprated battery ? Caps are good when used properly but in effect you might lose more power to your system by fitting it... When the cap charges it takes away power from the battery to do so and if you listen to a really bassy track the cap is going to use all its power up and if the bass is still going the alternotor now has to charge your battery, cap, then supply the power so the battery can run the amp. Looks now though.
escort16v Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 i will need to put something in their soon. i currently have a turbo diesel battery and it seems to cope ok.
